# OpenAjan

> OpenAjan is an open gateway between AI assistants and local shops — restaurants, cafés, barbers, beauty salons, florists, clinics and more. An AI agent can find a shop, read its live menu, prices and opening hours, check free booking times, and place an order or booking on the user's behalf after the user says yes. Payment happens at the shop; OpenAjan never handles money. Shops are currently in Denmark, Germany and Türkiye. Operated by Otonom (CVR 46779274), Copenhagen, Denmark.

## Connect an AI assistant
- MCP server: https://openajan.com/mcp — Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 + PKCE (dynamic client registration). In Claude or ChatGPT add it as a custom connector.
- The user can set a maximum amount per order when connecting; orders above it are rejected.

## Tools
- find_shops / search: find shops by name, city, zip or trade.
- get_shop / fetch: full shop card — items with ids and prices incl. VAT, hours, order modes.
- get_availability: free booking times for a date (shop local time).
- place_order: order or booking. Requires confirmed=true after an explicit user yes; send an idempotency_key.
- order_status: new → confirmed → done, or cancelled.

## Rules for agents
- Show items, total incl. VAT and time; get an explicit yes; then call place_order. An order exists only when ok=true.
- Bookings: call get_availability first and offer only the returned times.
- Never split an order to get around the user's spending limit.
- Tell the user the shop confirms by phone or email and that payment is at the shop.
